In loving memory of Fred Sasaki…

It is with great sadness that the Sedai Project has learned of the passing of Fred Sasaki – a founder of the Momiji retirement residence and Health Care Society, a Japanese-Canadian trailblazer following the internment years through his dedicated work at Canadian Tire, and a constant pillar of support to several organizations in the Japanese-Canadian community, including the Sedai Project. Fred was kind enough to step forward and be interviewed by the Sedai Project in our early years – in fact, he was our fourth interviewee ever. His kindness and generosity of soul will not be forgotten, and stand as an inspiration to all in the community.
